The abyssal Armor needs serious buffs to try to compensate for the Corruption. I’m pretty sure that instead of a buff, each armor item should give 10% (5 in total - 50%) corruption, not 50% for each. That way there will be the possibility of builds with permanent 20% and 40% corruption combined with a number of spells.

Perhaps by corrupting grit (seeing as how it's directly focused on stamina efficiency & armor), the player character can gain other-wordly temporary armor/shields. Maybe soul wisps that appear when blocking an attack and burst giving you extra stamina regen. Balance and Counterbalance - You deal 10% extra melee damage while over-encumbered but swing using 10% less stamina when no over-encumbered. Sure-footed - Crippling effects are less severe.
