May 13, 2011 · i found a bad positive wire and fixed my starting problems. but i am having the same problems with it getting stuck in gear i talked to kenworth and they dont have a clue. put a new x-y shifter in and new wiring harnesses but it still acts up. rebuilt tranny had 1,250,000 on it, put in a new clutch. eaton rebuilt the t handel for free. With the sid 60, that is usually an XY shifter issue. However if there is no issues shifting out of first gear that will not cause the range issue of not shifting out of 5th. . The trans software needs updated along with the shift controller for the other faults. range lever on the shift knob in and out of high and low range. If the module has a constant air leak from the exhaust port lo-cated under the module base, the module has failed the test. If no air leaks are detected, the module passes the test.
